This photograph was taken on Sunday 20th December, one day before the closest approach of Jupiter and Saturn. They were so close that you could see them both in the field of view in my 7″ refractor telescope. Unfortunately they were very low and the sky conditions were not great. An absolutely amazing site

There is a Sunspot You haven’t read it incorrectly, yes there is a nice sunspot group on the sun. We had a zoom observing session on Friday 6th November using Lilian’s 80mm Sky Watcher ED80 refractor, a ZWO camera and an Altair Astro Herschel Wedge
