Asteroid Day 30th June
Join the Asteroid Day global event organizer community!
Asteroid Day is an annual global event which is held on the anniversary of the Siberian Tunguska event that took place on June 30, 1908, the most harmful known asteroid-related event on Earth in recent history. Proclaimed by the United Nations, this date is intended to alert the world of the risks of a catastrophic impact by an asteroid.
During the year and especially on June 30, organizations, scientific and educational institutions, associations, equipment and Astronomy groups organize events to reinforce awareness of protecting our planet, our families and the entire Earth’s life. We want you to be part of this mobilization and include your city on the global event map.
We have created an event organizer toolkit in your language to help you organize an attractive and fascinating activity for audiences of all types, in person or online. Once you have planned your event, register it on asteroidday.org so we can help promote it on our social media channels.
Be sure to take great photos and videos of your event and send them in for a chance to have a custom article written about your organization on our website. Just fill in the ‘report after an event’ form on the website after your event.
We hope you join us in our mission to educate the world about asteroids and become a leader of this fascinating topic in your community.
