May Meeting Report 2021
Our speaker tonight was Dr Robin Wilson whose talk was ‘Monitoring the Earth from Space’ Rather than looking out from Earth towards Space, Robin introduced us to the amazing world of using Space to look towards the Earth. Many of his images showed us areas around us in Southampton in different light and wave lengths. It was fascinating to learn what can be understood from these images. Well image a field in a certain wavelength and you can see if the farmer has actually left the field fallow, instead of planting a crop.
